Honeymoon trip to Langkawi Island

On 25th December 2008, we went to Langkawi Island for honeymoon. We drove to Kuala Perlis and the journey took nearly 10 hours. We arrived at Kuala Perlis around 6.00 a.m and we managed to get the ferry to take us to our dreamed place.

We arrived at the Langkawi's Jetty about 8 o'clock in the morning with our hands held together. We rent a car (Kembara) and got a place for accomodation for 3D2N there. We were suprised to see so many people in Langkawi during that time ( yeah, I forgot that it was a holliday season). The first place that we seek was a place to fill our stomach that has started to make spooky sounds..

With a help from a map, we started to plan our destiny in Langkawi Island.. There was so many places to go but we did not have much time to go all the interesting places there.

Since my wife has spent a year in Langkawi for her matriculation programme on 2001, we could reached those interesting places without any 'big' trouble.

The first thing that we managed to do was....swimming and walking at Chenang Beach that located just nearby our room. We were having fun together, holding hands, talking and laughing on jokes... We enjoyed that moment very much. The beach was wonderful, and become more wonderful at night. We can see the dimmed light, with the wind breeze that sang a beautiful songs into our ears. We sat together and see the beautiful night scene there...counting on the stars that blinking on the sky...We sat closed to each other and held our hands tight..

On the next day, we went to Padang Mat Sirat and bought some gift to our parents and siblings. We also visit Beras Terbakar and took some pictures. After a few hours there, we went to foodstall and finished our lunch in a blink of an eye.. ( we're starved and tired on shopping :) ) We continue to travel using our rented car... We went to Gunung Raya's peak, with a very fascinating view from top...and we had some troubled with hearing (haha) due to different air pressure..

At night, we went to Pekan Kuah for shopping (again??). We bought chocolates, chocolates and chocolates. We couldn't believe our eyes, the place become very crowded with tourists that made us thought to come back to our room early...

Last day in Langkawi, we got up very early for our very important mission... to go to Gunung Matcincang and to ride cable car!!! We were very excited and the place was also crowded with visitors eventhough it was only 9 a.m. We had to queue for tickets and then queue again to get inside the cable car. Inside the cable car, we were stunned. Oh my God!! I felt a bit nervous because the wind blows made tha gondola keep on swinging.. And the scenery was fantastic. We could see the ocean, very clean and beautiful. We could see the yachts and the fishing boats that sails on the sea. After we arrived at the peak, we took some pictures. We have never been to any place like that before, and we enjoyed our first experience together.

After 3 days of journey, we were on our way back to Johor. We slept along the way from Langkawi Island to Kuala Perlis due to extremely limited time to take a rest during our day in Langkawi. And the North-South highway seem to be never ending journey. We were sleepy and tired. We had to stop at R&R quite often to sleep.

Alhamdulillah, we arrived back at Yong Peng safely, and we had nothing left inside our mind...except SLEEP!!

Even now, I could't erased the memory that we created on Langkawi Land. We hope to be there again next time to continue our journey. We planned to go for island hoping in Langkawi next time.. Hmm..couldn't wait that time to come..
